Involuntary Commitment Act
Senate Bill 27, the Susan Gall Involuntary Commitment Amendments, of the 2003 General Session of the Utah State Legislature modified the process by which adults are involuntarily committed to mental health programs. The Division of Substance Abuse and Mental was required to collect information about individuals who were subsequently committed to mental health programs involuntarily.
