The Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health is the State agency responsible for ensuring that prevention and treatment services for substance abuse and mental health are available statewide. If you, a friend, or family member is struggling with a mental health problem or a problem with alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs there is help available. Hope and recovery are possible.

The Utah Prevention by Design Community Action Plan is posted here for download. The program is a joint project between the Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH), NAMI Utah and the Utah Epidemiological Outcomes Workgroup. It is designed to help communities coordinate and enhance their local prevention networks using systematic and evidence based practices, in the field of prevention of mental illness and promotion of mental health.
